Glacial Trail Hike

Glacial Trail LogoThe Glacial Trail hike is held annually at the beginning of May. This weekend-long hiking or backpacking event begins on Friday at the Old Wade house in Greenbush, Wisconsin. Friday night is spent at the group campground at Greenbush or at Long Lake, with the hike to Long Lake State Park taking place on Saturday morning for those participants that camp at Greenbush. Throughout the event, Badger Trails provides periodic checkpoints and manned road crossings. Campsites are also provided in Long Lake State Park on Saturday night and participants begin the final leg to Mauthe Lake on Sunday. Although we encourage participants to take part in the entire event, we also accommodate those groups that are interested in camping and hiking part of the trail or simply coming to day hike as well. The entire hike is a moderately difficult trail approximately 24 miles in length, and is a perfect event for those that want to practice or teach backpacking skills.

The registration form for the 2018 event will be posted in early 2018.
